    My Hope is from Him

“For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭62:5-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The Lord is Near to all Who Call on Him

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭145:18-21‬ ‭ESV‬

    Fear Not

“fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

    Trust the Lord

“Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free; the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord!”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭146:1-10‬ ‭ESV‬

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4-7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Think about the people you love.

Now think about how you can model the description of love from 1 Corinthians to them today.

    You Hold Me Now

I love the lyrics to this song by Hillsong.

They tell of the beauty and wonder of eternity in Heaven for all who put their faith in Jesus.

On that day when I see
All that You have for me
When I see You face to face
    There surrounded by Your grace

All my fear is swept away
In the light of your embrace
When Your love is all I need
    And forever I am free

Where the streets are made of gold
In Your presence healed and whole
Let the songs of heaven rise to you alone

No weeping, no hurt or pain
No suffering You hold me now
    You hold me now
No darkness no sick or lame
No hiding You hold me now,
    You hold me now

In this life I will stand
Through my joy and my pain
    Knowing there’s a greater day
There’s a hope that never fails

When Your name is lifted high
    And forever praises rise
For the glory of Your Name
    I’m believing for the day

When the wars and violence cease
    All creation lives in peace
Let the songs of heaven rise to you alone

No weeping, no hurt or pain
No suffering You hold me now
    You hold me now
No darkness, no sick or lame
No hiding You hold me now,
    You hold me now

    For eternity
    All my heart will give
All the glory to Your name

    God’s steadfast love endures forever

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”‭‭Psalm‬ ‭100:1-5‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Make time today to praise the Lord.

Thank Him for His great love.

    Jesus Satisfies Your Soul

Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!  For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.
    Psalm 107:8-9 ESV

In this Christmas season take time to thank the Lord Jesus for humbling Himself to come to this world to save us from our sins.

Thank Him for satisfying your hungry and thirsty soul with His love, joy, and peace.

Your Mouth Speaks From Your Heart

“For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew‬ ‭12:34-37‬ ‭ESV‬‬

What you say matters. The words that come out of your mouth are a reflection of what is living in your heart.

Think about what you say. Do your words come from a heart filled with the love, joy, and peace of Jesus?
